 Iian studied percussion at Middlesex University.
He has been teaching percussion to young people for 10 years and currently teaches at several schools in the London area.
He teaches and directs the London based young people's samba group União da Mocidade.
He has been playing with Paraíso from its beginning, leads many performances and teaches at percussion workshops.
