Paraiso School of Samba
Viva Musica Latina updated: Sun 29 Apr 07

Tuesday 14 May 2002

Paraiso featured in the BBC Radio 2 programme Viva Musica Latina. BBC's Richard Allinson has been looking at the UK's fascination with Latin American dance and music. Tuesday's 30 minute programme, on Samba, followed Paraiso's preparations for the Notting Hill Carnival.

"It's just one of the greatest moments of the year. It's better than Christmas...it's better than New Year...it's the thing I spend most of the year living for...it's this kind of mad explosion where 350-400 people are just going completely wild for the Samba" - Dave Willetts, introducing the programme.
