GRES Mangueira in London for Sadler's Wells - 22 July 2006 GRES Mangueira is Brazil's largest and best known samba school. Mangueira's visit was the first ever appearance of their show bateria in the UK. Puxador Leandro performed, together with cavaquinho and 9 piece show bateria, live on stage outside Sadler's Wells Theatre after parading with Paraiso in the Sadler's Wells Carnival parade.

The
Mangueira show, which was on a European tour, spent the
weekend in London as guests of Paraiso and took the Paraiso
percussion workshop on Sunday 23 July.
